Me & Maddy

Back to school

Dear Bloggie-ers,

Yesterday I started school again! I was really excited to see everybody again, all my friends; Ellen, Lysanne, Afza (who had been to Pakistan for 7 weeks!), Anne and Andrea. Some of them I've seen occasionally, but other like Afza and ANdrea I hadn't so that was even more fun. After we had talked and talked and talked more, it was time for us to go to the expected classroom. We're not all in the same class anymore :(, I'm with Andrea because we choose different subjects. STill, Andrea's a lot of fun, but I do miss the others. I'll still see them in breaks and everything, though, and we're gonna have lots of fun stuff to do with the six of us.

So me and Andrea "Andie" got to this classroom, and we're strangely surprised to find that our class existed out of 2 other people, so 4 in total... That's because very little people choose the subjects we did. Anyhow, you foreign people must know that from year for on (I'm starting year four now) the entire Dutch education system changes, suddenly I get a weird timetable which is combined with 5 other classes, and no one ( including me) gets a damn about it. Also, suddnely very weird stuff about exams which won't be here until 3 more years.. :S. Strange. This makes me very confused, and also very scared of what's coming. I wish I was still in last year, then things were so much easier. But I'm sure I'll be okay, I just need to "settle".

When I was finished at school today I had a flat tire :S. So I had to walk home with like 20 or 30 pounds of books for 40 or 50 minutes! That really sucked because I was tired already. So I guess you could say I just had a really bad day today.

I'm also a student tutor this year! THat's really fun, I'll be helping a 'main tutor' with her class, together wiht my friend Lily. So basically we do everything the tutor does, but when there's difficult stuff she helps. It's because they think first year students will trust us more because we've all been through the same thing less long ago then the teacher themselves.
My class has 29 pupils, I think there are some more girls than boys, but I haven't counted them yet. It seems like a really fun, and intelligent class, so that has potential! I'm really looking forward to tutoring them, makes me feel all mature, heh!

I'm feeling a little better about the year 4, depression now, thanks to my friend 'Kitty' who just said what I needed to hear and really helped me with that. Thanks, Kitt!

That was it for today, I'll let you know about other stuff, like my taking part in this year's school musical 'Aida'. I really wanna join, although I'm scared to death! Wish me luck!

Party

At Eva's

Heya,

I'm at Eva's tonight! At 7:30 she called me if I wanted to come shopping with her; she was gonna buy a new cell phone! Of course I went with her, but once in the store and having picked a nice phone she seemed to have forgotten her money. That was real smart! So first we had to cycle all the way back to her place to pick up her wallet. That was easy, but then we had to go ALLLL the way back to the mall. Fun for once, but really when that happens every time it starts getting really annoying. We survived, duh, and she bought a really nice cell phone with camera with which she keeps making photos of me when I don't expect her to :S. Ha, good you won't get to see any of those pictures!

Now we decided Eva's going to sleep at my place, we usually decide that 5 minutes before hand, this time 2 hours was really soon! Tomorrow during the day I'm going over to Lysanne, whom I haven't seen in a few weeks. We're gonna play Monopoly, heh, that's fun. I always lose though :(. But we'll see.

We're gonna collect Eva's stuff now. Talk to you later! Byee!

Hey Blog People,

Grandpa & Grandma's anniversary rocked! They've been married for 55 years now, which I find a huuuuge time. It's more than 3 times my age! Woa. If I ever find my 'guy' I hope we'll one day just be like my grandparents :).
My aunt Nel came to braid my hair before the party started. She did it nicely, and I was 'quite' happy with the result. 'Quite' is because I'm extremely picky, especially when it comes to my hair. So it's a compliment for my aunt!
Around half past 3, after a whole dilemma about which skirt to wear, we finally went over to my grandparents'. In my last post I told you that in my mom's side of the family I'm one of the approximately 20 grandchildren, well, on my father's side I'm the only one! Quite a difference, but my dad has only 3 siblings, of which 1 is gay, 1 is divorced and 1 is single. I don't mind, this way I get all the attention ;).
We started with coffee and cake, and then went for some drinks. I did the dishes with my mom, go me! . Around half past 6 we went on our way to the restaurant. I sat next to my aunt Jolanda whom prefers not to be called aunt, so I don't, but it was just to be clear that she's not some cousin I didn't mention, he.
The food was nice, and me and Jolanda as well as the people who sat opposite us were a little.. hyper. Possibly tipsy but let's not go there * wink*. The food was delicious, and with the icecream there even was firework! No big firework but some little on top of the icecream firework. I'll post a pic in a sec.
The evening went really fast, which is a good thing because that means I enjoyed it, and let's hope in 5 years when they'll be married for 60 years it'll be just as fun ! Of course when reading this my grandma will say 'if we make it', but let's just count on that. No need to be all negative and slightly pessimistic. Not with me around, anyway!

That was it for today. Hope to talk to you all soon!
